To use the UniWalker Training Lead as a Halter ‘Over the Nose’ Dog Lead:

  • feed the nylon lead through the chrome buckle to form two loops (as shown in the picture of the black lead).
  • place the back loop (with the chrome ring) over the dog’s head
  • position the chrome ring centrally at back of the neck
  • place the front loop up over the dog’s nose.
  • pull the lead to a secure & comfortable position for the dog, keeping the chrome buckle central at the back of the head.
  • move the stopper towards the back of the neck to prevent the loop from slipping open.

To use the UniWalker Training Lead as a Traditional Slip Dog Lead:

  • create a single loop and place over the dogs head
  • move the chrome buckle as required within the loop to use as a half check or full check lead
  • move the leather stopper down to the back of the neck to prevent the lead becoming to loose

To use the UniWalker Training Lead as a Fixed Dog Collar & Lead:

  • create a single loop and place over the dogs head
  • move the chrome buckle to the dogs neck size to prevent the lead tightening
  • move the leather stopper down to the back of the neck to prevent the lead from becoming to loose

To use the Collar Strap:

  • To attach the UniWalker Training Lead to your dogs own collar – as shown in the diagram
  • Pass the strap though the Chrome Ring and feed the trigger end through the fabric loop, pull to tighten around the chrome ring
  • The Trigger Clip then attaches to your dogs own collar D ring, connecting the lead and collar together
  • If neccessary pull the collar D ring around to the back of the dogs neck and clip on the Collar Strap, as shown in the photo

The Collar Strap is designed to link the UniWalker Training Lead to a collar and it is not to be used as a dog lead, to hold the dog, or tie out.

The UniWalker Training Lead is designed for both left & right handed walking. There is no ‘right way’ or ‘wrong side’.

When walking keep the lead taut and short, the fit firm and the pace brisk.

A simple ‘guide to use’ is included with each purchase.

Always be alert to your dogs behaviour & actions when out walking, particularly in busy areas, in the vicinity of other dogs & on roads

Overall length & width of the dog lead is L: 1.5m / 59”  – W: 2 cm / 7/8”

Recommended for dogs no larger than 50 kgs.

  1. Chris Knight

We have a 14th month old Great Dane who although is generally well behaved, can actually be hard work at times, mainly due to his size. We found that he gets overcome with excitement and wants to play with smaller dogs which we try to avoid incase he accidentally flattens them with his big paws. Hw also gets a bit protective when my girlfriend walks him and can seem aggressive when barking at people or other dogs. Unfortunately we have found that this is due to him picking up on her anxiety where she worries about these potentially awkward situations and therefore enters a bit of a vicious circle. We found that if we can break his engagement in these situations and give him a command then we get a good response and he learns pretty quickly what he is and isn’t allowed to do. I have to say that this lead is amazing at breaking his focus in these situations and makes it virtually impossible for him to lunge forward as it brings his head down. I have to say he really didn’t like it at first and was always trying to rub his head on things to get it off, however once he got used to it he was ok. This lead has totally transformed the way we walk him and train him and we wish we had found it earlier. I totally recommend this lead to anyone looking for more confidence and control over their dog
